Someone shared a picture of a bagful of Elf bars, the convoluted vape evolution of Juul, and captioned it saying it was all going in the trash. Without missing a beat, someone else took this image and re-captioned it, "My friend is an elementary school teacher in SoCal sent me this picture โ€” what they confiscated this month," and it was a hit. Instant hit.

1. The Montgomery Riverfront Brawl

The Meme

On Saturday evening, a brawl broke out on the Montgomery, Alabama, riverfront after a group of white men attacked a Black dock worker who had asked them to move their illegally parked boat. A number of Black men came to the workerโ€™s defense, and fought back against the instigators of the melee.

The dramatic event, which was documented in a series of now-viral videos, captured some stand-out moments that have since become the subject of memes โ€” like the young man that swam across the river to come to the dock workerโ€™s aid, and another guy who hit people with a folding chair. Others just posted jokes about how much they enjoyed seeing the boaters get their comeuppance.
