Here at Digg, we try our best to cover the most important and confounding memes that come across the timeline. But the web is littered with tons of great memes that never quite hit the mainstream and instead just bounce around the weird corners of Twitter or Reddit. Enter our recurring feature, Memes, Ranked.

This week, we're talking substance addictions, betrayal, missing military jets and what $100 can get you at the grocery store.

4. 'Love Island's' broski betrayal

The Meme

"Love Island," a reality show in which strangers are paired up in a villa and attempt to form genuine, lasting relationships, is an iconic piece of TV — and every season, at least one contestant coins a similarly iconic line that sparks memes the internet over.

Most recently, it's the below quote from season 10 of "Love Island UK," shared by @DoctorPissPants, that has captured people's imaginations.

3. Three substance addictions by 22

The Meme

The more prophetic posters on X have disappeared over the past year, and @theeggiesmusic decided to carry the mantle forward by offering some advice about addictions at the tender age of 22.

She claimed that by that age, one must have three substances they’re addicted to — and, as you can see, posters took this creative prompt in good stride.

2. Missing F-35 jet

The meme

The United States of America’s government, in all of its infinite wisdom, spends literal trillions of dollars a year on the military. It doesn’t matter if no one else around the world asked for it, or if the voters asked for it, or if we need it, or if there are other more important things going on that need money. Politicians on both sides of the aisle will vote to increase military spending at exorbitant rates that expand beyond human comprehension. No one can fathom just how much money it is.

On the weekend, the pilot of an F-35 jet was ejected from the aircraft and the plane, which was on autopilot, was lost for more than 24 hours before the wreckage was recovered. Imagine that: a plane flying around with no pilot, and no one can figure out where it is. This laughable but true story is so preposterous that it was perfectly ripe for jokes on social media.

1. $100 of groceries

The Meme

Last week, X user Ryan Florence lamented "I present: $100 of groceries," along with a photo of around 20 items, mostly consisting of fruit and veg.

It wasn’t long before people were sharing their own “$100 grocery” posts.
