An Invite to join Aviation WikiProject[edit]
Hi, you are cordially invited to join the Aviation WikiProject! We're a group of editors working to improve Commons' coverage of aviation. This includes aircraft, airports, airlines and other topics. |
We look forward to welcoming you to the project! russavia (talk) 18:49, 7 October 2012 (UTC) |
Hi Anthony92931, where (country) have you taken this shot? --Túrelio (talk) 07:28, 19 December 2012 (UTC)
- Image taken in Saugus, Massachusetts USA
- Then we have a problem. I assume that the figure on this flag is still under copyright. As freedom of panorama in the US is valid only for buildings, the photo is a derivative of the figure and violates the copyright of its creator. --Túrelio (talk) 21:37, 21 December 2012 (UTC)
I just removed the link to it on the "Tweety Bird" page for Wikipedia. Delete the image from Commons if you must. However, I find it curious that an image search on goggle for the "Tweety Bird" character results in over 1 MILLION pictures available for free, all over the internet. Do we really believe that NO ONE is using any of those for their own purposes, commercial or otherwise? Just puts things in perspective I guess.
- Yeah, that's the difference between us and those who do not respect copyright (and expose their re-users to litigation). If you want to use the image on :en Wikipedia, you can upload it locally and try to claim fair-use. --Túrelio (talk) 07:38, 23 December 2012 (UTC)
Hiya, can you remember which airport you took File:JetBlue Jets.jpg at? Cheers, russavia (talk) 07:05, 7 April 2014 (UTC)
Notification about possible deletion[edit]
Some contents have been listed at Commons:Deletion requests so that the community can discuss whether they should be kept or not. We would appreciate it if you could go to voice your opinion about this at their entry.
If you created these pages, please note that the fact that they have been proposed for deletion does not necessarily mean that we do not value your kind contribution. It simply means that one person believes that there is some specific problem with them, such as a copyright issue. Please see Commons:But it's my own work! for a guide on how to address these issues. |
This nomination includes two files that you uploaded. Cheers, Pi.1415926535 (talk) 21:19, 16 January 2016 (UTC)
Hi, you have File:Air France F-GLZB A340.jpg dated 6 June 2008. However, by 2005, the aircraft had already been retired from the Air France fleet and put into service with Air Madrid (as per http://www.airliners.net/photo/Air-Madrid/Airbus-A340-312/854456). Can you possibly provide more info on the potential date you took the Air France photo at Logan? Thanks, Gijón16 (talk) 10:38, 10 October 2016 (UTC)
