A Chinese tech research firm, RUNTO published a report about ebook reading tablet devices for Q3 2022. And Huawei MatePad Paper topped the list.

The report noted that Huawei MatePad Paper quickly became the fastest-growing ebook-reading tablet product. As it now owns the first rank in the cumulative sales of ebook tablet online market from March to the end of the third quarter of this year in China.

Two months after the launch, the online sales of Huawei MatePad Paper beat Amazon Kindle Youth Edition. It was the longest-runner for the top spot for a long time.

In the following three months, Huawei MatePad Paper dominated the e-commerce market as the best-selling tablet. In May, the monthly sales exceeded 10000 units, making it the only e-paper office notebook that sold over 10000 units online in a single month.

Huawei MatePad Paper tablet’s first software update comes with HarmonyOS build number 2.1.0.115, which is updated from version 2.1.0.108. At the moment, this update is released for the Chinese variant and soon be available for the global model.
