Huawei Watch GT 3 Pro is a smartwatch with lots of specialties including beautiful aesthetics but recently a user reported bugs, that occurred after HarmonyOS 2.1.0.417.

According to the information, HarmonyOS 2.1.0.417 for Huawei Watch GT 3 Pro rolled out in Europe in October last year, and the company has not released a new software update since then for the global models.

The user reveals that the Watch GT 3 Pro Snowboarding training mode doesn’t always record race data, speed, and other important parameters of the training. It’s also reported that the watch needs to restart the smartwatch and re-enable the workout to record the data.

Coming to the next bug, appears when you try to check the records/training log on the smartwatch under the snowboarding mode including readings such as distance tab and within laps.

It’s also noted that the issue could be the lapse count. However, as you can see in the video linked below, the smartwatch keeps on ‘sort of’ restarting as it blocks the rotating crown actions.

This is quite frustrating as a user but similar issues have been noticed online on Huawei Community.

A user wrote “The ski and snowboard activities do not work on the GT3 watch. They seem to start and find the GPS signal, but the measurements stay at 0.”

On that, a Huawei official moderator replied that “if Skiing or Snowboarding is enabled on your watch, but you are not skiing nor snowboarding, your watch will not record the time as it does not detect the skiing and snowboarding state. You can check the timer after skiing or snowboarding for a while.”

However, that didn’t resolve these Huawei Watch GT 3 Pro bugs. All we can wait is for a new software update, which may come soon but there’s no confirmation whether it’s a hardware or a software issue.

Huawei Nova 9 Series is set to unveil on September 23rd offering two models- Nova 9 and 9 Pro. As stated by the company, this series specifically plan for young users. In this context, there are two points of convergence, the first one is its camera specification and the second one is its system software.

Speaking of the first point, Huawei Nova 9 Pro will be equipped with a 32 MP dual front camera placed in a pill-shaped design. On the other hand, the rear lenses are organized on a cylindrical camera module.

However, the main thing to talk about the camera is, it supports front and rear camera synchronization. It means, without terminating the video users can switch back and forth during video recordings.

Now coming to the second point that is system software. As per the previous reports, Huawei Nova 9 will come with HarmonyOS 2.1 version. Meanwhile, the latest leak shows that Huawei has other plans for the 2.1 version.

Huawei will launch HarmonyOS 2.0.1 in Huawei Nova 9:

According to the Wiebo tipster- ChrysanthemumFans  Huawei will not launch HarmonyOS 2.1 version in September instead it may launch the 2.0.1. Although 2.0.1 will come with more enhanced features, won’t be compared with the capability of 2.1, said the tipster.

It’s certainly a bit disappointing news for the users but it could be a forward reason. Huawei may have other plans for HarmonyOS 2.1 update.

HarmonyoS

What could be the reason:

Huawei is simultaneously preparing for the launch of the standard Huawei P50, which is yet to sale. Apart from its design and hardware capabilities, the company possibly wants to save HarmonyOS 2.1 for this flagship. No doubt, that is could be a great selling point for the P50 smartphone, as it already delayed due to the chip problem.

Besides, the company gave no official word about this matter at the moment. We have to wait for the official information or maybe until the release.

Huawei Nova 9 Sepecfications:

Report shows, Huawei Nova 9 Pro will come with a curved OLED display, and a 4000mAh battery with 100W charging support. Besides, Huawei Nova 9 will come with a 4500mAh battery with 66W charging support and Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 778 chipset.

HarmonyOS 3.0, that’s next focus of Huawei and the upcoming Huawei Developer Conference Together 2021 (HDC 2021) event. The HDC 2021 is set for October 22 to October 24 at Huawei headquarter in Dongguan China.

At the event, Huawei will make an announcement on HarmonyOS, reveal some information about the latest Huawei Mobile Services Core 6.0 (HMS Core 6.0) and help the developer community to adopt the latest Huawei-powered software solutions.

However, our focus remains on HarmonyOS and it’s yet to come HarmonyOS 3.0.

HarmonyOS 3.0

HarmonyOS 2.1:

Before this conference, Huawei will release HarmonyOS 2.1 with two important devices – Huawei P50 (standard) and the Huawei Nova 9 series. These phones will launch this month and will go on sale in China.

For now, HarmonyOS 2.1 features remain unknown but it’ll provide a new user experience to the consumers that will surely be better than the existing HarmonyOS 2.0 software system.

HarmonyOS 3.0:

At HDC 2020, Huawei introduced HarmonyOS 2.0 with new platforms including smartphones, tablets, smart wearables, IoT devices, home appliances, and in-car systems.

Since last year, Huawei has launched new smartphones with HarmonyOS 2.0, unveiled a new smartwatch – Watch 3 series, MatePad tablets.

On the other hand, the Chinese tech maker is collaborating with industry giants such as Midea and other home appliances and electronics makers to launch new HarmonyOS powered smart IoT products.

Furthermore, Huawei has partnered with a number of big car manufacturers to put HarmonyOS smart screen and smart car system on board.

So, what’s next?

Well! The next step will be the support for PC/Laptops, Earphones, VR glasses, and other new equipment. With HarmonyOS 3.0, Huawei could further strengthen the developer community with new tools and a set of new services to empower the HarmonyOS ecosystem.

HarmonyOS Version Development Roadmap

We’ll wait to get more insights on this matter.

HarmonyOS 2.0 and current progress:

Announced at HDC 2020, Huawei began testing HarmonyOS 2.0 beta in December last year on Huawei P40, Mate 40, and MatePad Pro devices. This new software comes with various new smart features and user interfaces that look better and provides a seamless cross-device user experience with features powered by distributed capabilities.

Huawei HarmonyOS

After the launch of HarmonyOS 2.0 in June this year, Huawei has been rapidly upgrading old Huawei devices with this new operating system. Also, the interest of the users hasn’t been down a bit and they continue to raise the number of device upgrades such as the recent mark of 90 million HarmonyOS upgrades.

Such milestones aren’t easy and the enthusiasm and excitement among Huawei smartphone users reflect heavily on their actions.

The Chinese tech giant then began to rollout the latest HarmonyOS 2 for eligible smartphone holders including the Huawei Mate 40, Mate 30, P40, P30, Mate 20, and more devices from the Honor campaign.

On July 29, 2021, Huawei unveiled the P50 and P50 Pro flagship, which comes with a brand new camera system, beautiful design, and a set of new features. This is the first flagship device that comes with pre-installed HarmonOS 2.

According to previous reports, the Huawei P50 device expected to land with new HarmonyOS features but it didn’t happen. Instead, only the P50 Pro made it to the sale on August 12. However, the company saved the standard version for later on.

HarmonyOS 2.1

Information reveals that standard Huawei P50 will come with HarmonyOS 2.1 operating system. While the Huawei P50 Pro currently enjoyed HarmonyOS 2.0.

Meanwhile, there is some important input that has just been dropped from the corner of well known Weibo tipster. That suggests HarmonyOS 2.1 is specially optimized for Snapdragon 888 chipset and the company has added new features to this.

The tipster explained, the new features that were reported for the Huawei P50 series actually designed with HarmonyOS 2.1, not for HarmonyOS 2.0. Therefore, they’ll empower the Huawei P50 and will expand support for the Snapdragon chipsets for future use cases.

Meanwhile, the feature of this upcoming HarmonyOS 2.1 version remained unknown. On the other side, consumers that already have installed HarmonyOS 2.0 want to upgrade over HarmonyOS 2.1 as soon as possible.

HarmonyOS 2.0: Roadmap progress:

As of August 10, 2021, Huawei has released HarmonyOS in over 50 million smartphones in China. Data reveals that nearly 8 users are upgrading over HM OS per second. On August 29, Huawei has completed 70 million installations, which is a huge milestone to cover. With this speed, the company is likely to go beyond this milestone and soon touch 100 million devices.

In mid-September, Huawei is looking to open HarmonyOS 2.0 public beta for old flagships such as Huawei P20, Mate 10, and other devices including the Honor X10 and more.
