Huawei global users are eager to try out the new operating system to rebuild and experience something new in their handsets, as the introduction of Huawei EMUI 13 (possibly) draws closer, which should be along with Android 13.

EMUI 13 should ship with Android 13, replacing the outdated Android 10 operating system. Notably, EMUI versions 10, 11, and 12 continue to run on top of Android 10, even though access to GMS may be affected on devices like the Huawei P30 and Mate 20 series.

Huawei EMUI operating system:

The HarmonyOS operating system, which is exclusive to the Chinese market, is comparable to Huawei EMUI because it provides services to smartphones around the world. Both operating systems are supported by Huawei devices, including smartphones, tablets, smartwatches, and as well as IoT and Smart car systems.

But there is a flaw in EMUI, the devices running with this software are still based on Android 10, whether it’s EMUI 10, EMUI 11, or EMUI 13. While some consumers have demanded whether they should be shifted over to a complete HarmonyOS operating system or a new Android version.

This year, Huawei will introduce new software for the global market and it should be packed with the Android 13, which is adopted by all Android smartphone users, except Huawei. Yes, Huawei is banned by the U.S. but the AOSP project of Android 13 is already launched and could be used by the new EMUI build.

Although Huawei hasn’t changed the base of EMUI software, it has still brought in new features with each version.

Since Huawei doesn’t support software for later releases from Google, it decided not to scratch the existing GMS devices and rolled it out with Android 10.
