Huawei FreeBuds 5 is coming and soon it will meet the consumers, of course, the plans for this are hidden but the latest inputs will help us to understand its soon-to-release schedule.

According to the details shared by tipster classmateguan, Huawei FreeBuds 5 will launch soon and will continue to wear a semi-in-ear design, which is a marquee style of the earbuds pair. The tipster predicts that March could be the month to bring these earbuds out in the open. It’s possible that the recently leaked FreeBuds Pro 2+ may also share the stage with FreeBuds 5.

It’s been over 2 years since the launch of Huawei FreeBuds 4 earbuds and the tech company, in the time between, has released a new model – FreeBuds 5i. However, that’s just a filler, while the customers have been waiting for a mainstream pair of earbuds.

As for now, we don’t have the specs of the next FreeBuds lineup but we can surely know more about its predecessor.

Huawei FreeBuds 5 is coming

Huawei FreeBuds 4 brings an open-fit active noise cancellation 2.0 technology.  It has adaptive ear-matching technology to detect your in-ear shape and how you wear the earbuds. Then it smartly selects a variety of noise-cancellation presets.

Huawei FreeBuds 4 comes in two aesthetically awesome colors – Ceramic White and Silver Frost. These earbuds are light and each of them weighs just 4.1 grams. It supports gestures and tap support, tap twice to answer and end calls, play/pause music, previous/next song or enable voice assistant. It has a swipe up and down to increase or decrease volume.

Huawei FreeBuds 4 include a special touch of tap and hold, which allows you to enable or disable noise cancellation. This pair of earbuds bring a big battery, it will boast 22 hours of battery with a charging case and ANC off. While you will get 4 hours from FreeBuds only.

It’s been two long years of the Huawei Watch 3 series launch and it seems like Huawei has finally begun the preparations for the upcoming Huawei Watch 4 lineup, as its codename is now leaked.

Huawei Watch series recently completed the WiFi certification with the codename ARC (Arch) and MDS (Medusa) for Watch 4 and Watch 4 Pro respectively. However, there are no specifications or details available about any of these models at the moment.

Past leaks:

A few days ago, a mysterious watch model appeared on the Huawei Health app with AOD-B19, which is likely to be a brand new smartwatch lineup but none of the information has been confirmed from the official channel so far.

Looking at the fact that Huawei Watch 3 series has some first-time technologies in smartwatches, we are expecting a better battery life with the upcoming duo.

Huawei Watch 3 series:

Huawei Watch 3 and 3 Pro are the first smartwatch to feature the HarmonyOS operating system. Other than that, the lineup has unique native LTE connectivity, which allows you to make calls and quickly reply to the SMS.

Huawei Watch 3 devices are a mixture of all of the past released smartwatches and a combination of design and aesthetics in one package.

In terms of standalone connectivity, Huawei Watch 3 series provides eSIM service, through which, you can share the phone number as well as voice and data plans between the smartphone and smartwatch.

That’s not it, Huawei Watch 3 models offer important map and taxi services right into the wrist. Furthermore, it’s the first smartwatch to support third-party app installation directly from AppGallery.

Moreover, Huawei Watch 3 has a big library of workout modes and fitness activities, it has Skin temperature detection, heart rate monitoring, SpO2, sleep tracking, and more. The Huawei Watch 3 Pro offers an ultra-long battery life, that could go up to 5 days back up in a smart mode and 21 days in ultra-long battery mode.

We hope that Huawei Watch 4 series will get us some big upgrades over its predecessor and we’ll keep you posted on the developments.

Last year, Huawei launched Watch Buds in China and soon this smartwatch will make a debut in the global market. The inputs reveal that Huawei is preparing to bring this 2-in-1 smartwatch to global consumers but a date is yet to be confirmed.

However, we’ll keep you posted on further updates about the Huawei Watch Buds, until then, let’s look into its specifications.

Huawei Watch Buds comes looks like a regular smartwatch with a dial and a rotating crown on the right. However, you can flip open the watch face and there are two wireless earphones inside.

These are simple earplugs that fit inside your ear, however, they are not similar to the FreeBuds series. Each of these earphones weighs only 4 grams, which is light to wear. According to Huawei, the company has tested Huawei Watch Buds opening and closing mechanism over 100000 times.

Inside the box, there’s a magnetic maneuver that helps you to place the earphones safely without worries.

Huawei Watch GT 3 Pro is a smartwatch with lots of specialties including beautiful aesthetics but recently a user reported bugs, that occurred after HarmonyOS 2.1.0.417.

According to the information, HarmonyOS 2.1.0.417 for Huawei Watch GT 3 Pro rolled out in Europe in October last year, and the company has not released a new software update since then for the global models.

The user reveals that the Watch GT 3 Pro Snowboarding training mode doesn’t always record race data, speed, and other important parameters of the training. It’s also reported that the watch needs to restart the smartwatch and re-enable the workout to record the data.

Coming to the next bug, appears when you try to check the records/training log on the smartwatch under the snowboarding mode including readings such as distance tab and within laps.

It’s also noted that the issue could be the lapse count. However, as you can see in the video linked below, the smartwatch keeps on ‘sort of’ restarting as it blocks the rotating crown actions.

This is quite frustrating as a user but similar issues have been noticed online on Huawei Community.

A user wrote “The ski and snowboard activities do not work on the GT3 watch. They seem to start and find the GPS signal, but the measurements stay at 0.”

On that, a Huawei official moderator replied that “if Skiing or Snowboarding is enabled on your watch, but you are not skiing nor snowboarding, your watch will not record the time as it does not detect the skiing and snowboarding state. You can check the timer after skiing or snowboarding for a while.”

However, that didn’t resolve these Huawei Watch GT 3 Pro bugs. All we can wait is for a new software update, which may come soon but there’s no confirmation whether it’s a hardware or a software issue.

Earlier this month, Huawei began sending January 2023 software update for Watch GT 2 series and installed some of the most important optimizations to keep the smartwatches running.

In the subsequent weeks, we noted that all of the Huawei Watch GT 2 including Watch GT 2 Pro and Watch GT 2e got this software update. Despite performing well on consumers’ wrists, the Huawei Watch GT 2 series still runs liteOS. While users deserve to receive new firmware with some added new features.

However, it’s better to know that the latest version credits system stability optimizations to improve the Huawei Watch GT 2 performance.

Huawei Watch 3:

Currently, Huawei is sending HarmonyOS 3 for the global Watch 3 and Watch 3 Pro users and brings a number of new features over the previous version.

Huawei Watch GT 2 series:

Huawei could send new addition to the Watch GT 2 models to make users happy but there’s no confirmation available on this matter.

Other than the latest improvements, Huawei also sent system optimizations for all three of these smartwatches last year. This is an important step for Huawei to improve the Watch GT 2 devices.

Instructions to get new firmware are mentioned below:

If anyone of you wants to check for the latest software update, then open the Huawei Health app on your smartphone. Select your Huawei Watch GT 2 smartwatch and scroll down to check for the latest software update.

We suggest you upgrade the Huawei Health app to the latest version via Huawei AppGallery to get the user experience possible. Also, the OTA package transfer from smartwatch to smartwatch may take a few minutes. Keep both of the devices in range to not affect Bluetooth connectivity.

As for now, this update is out and open globally. But there are places that may not have installed January 2023 software update for Huawei Watch GT 2 series. Let us know via the tweet given below.

According to inputs coming from Huaweiblog, Huawei Watch Fit (first generation) last received a software update by the end of 2021, which marks an entire year in the calendar.

The changelog notes that the latest build for this smartwatch brings new optimizations for Bluetooth connection stability, which is important to improve connection stability. On the flip side, this new software will get your Huawei Watch Fit new system stability for better smartwatch performance.

To download this new software upgrade on your Huawei Watch Fit, open the Huawei Health app and select your smartwatch from the on-screen selection. Scroll down and select software update to check for the latest firmware rollout.

If available, the update will start to download. We suggest you maintain the connection between your Huawei Watch Fit and smartphone so that the update package could transfer successfully.
